Georgia Watermelon Salsa

Nothing beats the heat any better than cool, delicious Georgia watermelon served straight up, but this salsa comes pretty close! With all of the fresh flavors of summer right there together, every bite is a tastebud delight!

Step 1 - Gather Ingredients

3 cups chopped Georgia watermelon
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon chopped green onion
1 tablespoon chopped jalapeno pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Step 2 - Combine

In a large bowl, combine the watermelon, green bell pepper, lime juice, cilantro, green onions, jalapeno and garlic powder.

Step 3 - Mix

Gently mix the ingredients together, taking care to not break down the watermelon pieces.

Step 4 - Final

Serve with your favorite tortillas, try it over grilled, baked or broiled fish, or serve it up as a compliment to any summertime dish!
